Healthy Hot Chocolate

  • Serves: 1
  • Complexity: very easy


  • 1 teaspoon raw cacao powder
  • 200-300ml hot water (*or use hot milk if you want a creamier hot choc)
  • Some milk of your choice – almond, milk, coconut (*I use almond milk, Almond breeze unsweetened, in vanilla)
  • ½-1 teaspoon stevia (or could use 1/2 a teaspoon of honey or raw sugar)

Options for a little different taste:

  • a pinch of cinnamon
  • a teaspoon of maca powder


  • Place the raw cacao and stevia/honey  in a mug and fill with hot water, leaving a 2-3 cm space at the top for some milk, like you are making a cup of tea.
  • Give it a good stir
  • Add the amount of milk you desire to the top, I use a dash – about 50ml
  • Stir again
