Baked Falafels

  • 2 X cans of chickpeas
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 2 X garlic cloves
  • 1 heaped tablespoon tahini paste
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Pinch of Pepper
  • 2-3 X chopped carrots 
  • Half cup almond meal
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • quarter cup of water
  • 1/4 - 1/2 cup of fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander 
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 fresh chili, or teaspoon of powdered chili 


Pre heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius 

Blend all ingredients in a food processor until well mixed

 Then roll into balls or patties onto baking paper. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired

Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden 

Serve with a fresh salad drizzled in hummus, tatziki or tahini dressing

Or serve inside a wrap with fresh tomato, lettuce, onion and hummus or tatziki
