‘feeling lazy’ cardio work out

‘feeling lazy’ cardio work out

You know those days! Where you scheduled to hit the gym but you just can't mentally be bothered. On those days when I feel like this, instead of not going at all and being lazy, this is the work out I do.

It is just a walk on the treadmill. Easy to begin with and gets you working slowly. It keeps you engaged, so it goes really quickly! It is a good lower intensity work out that still gets your heart rate pumping, and really gets you sweating! My partner Scott made it up when he had shoulder surgery as there wasn’t a lot he could do, so he did this 40 min walk to keep active cardio wise.

The 3 by 3’s treadmill workout. 39 Minutes all up.

Set the treadmill to speed 6.  (5.8 if you are quite short) & incline on level 3.

Basically from here, every 3 minutes you up the incline by 3 levels, until you get to incline 12 (or 15 if you are game!). Once you have done your 3 min on incline 12, you come back down again by 3’s. And then repeat, going back up and down again. So that’s:

3 minutes walking on incline 3

3 minutes walking on incline 6

3 minutes walking on incline 9

3 minutes walking on incline 12

3 minutes walking on incline 9

3 minutes walking on incline 6

3 minutes walking on incline 3

3 minutes walking on incline 6

3 minutes walking on incline 9

3 minutes walking on incline 12

3 minutes walking on incline 9

3 minutes walking on incline 6

3 minutes walking on incline 3

Done! Give it a try next time your feeling lazy. Let me know how you go!
